Check out a few pictures of our New Orleans 09′ Trip where we served along side Desire Street Ministries in the 9th Ward.  Check back in the next few days for some testimonials from some of our Jr. High Students.

Group shot, I don't know why the guys look so mad, maybe the 6 hours of basketball the night before and the 7 am wake up had something to do with it!

The neighborhood boys loved to fight and wrestle, I was tired of getting my butt kicked so I sent them after Tripp!

This is the Florida Projects, built a year before Katrina came through, the government will not be rebuilding these projects. Crazy

This is a view from a neighborhood street looking up the levee to the riverbank where we are all standing, the houses in that neighborhood were completely under water, even if people would have been standing on their roofs the water would have been over their heads.

Oscar led us in prayer, then before we left the students began singing God of This City...stinkin' awesome, I'm getting goosebumps right now!

It is crazy to think that Hurricane Katrina was almost 4 years ago, and many parts of the area are still devastated.  As I look back at the last 4 years of my life it is incredible to see the blessings God has placed on my life.  I cannot imagine loosing everything and still having the joy I saw in many of the residents in and around the 9th Ward.  I know God is going to do big things down there through Desire Street Ministries.  He is Good.

The Gathering

Our new building is finally ready to be occupied, this morning we officially received our Certificate of Occupancy and we are stoked and ready to hit the ground running.  For the next three evenings we are expecting to see over 3,000 students and their families attend a service where they will have a chance to experience physical power, but more importantly the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a performance by the POWERTEAM!

Seth, Joey and I along with The Lord’s Child crew will be traveling around the county with the POWERTEAM the next three days as they put on school assemblies in the Junior High and High Schools in Sevier County. 

What better way is there to open up our new building than to see some people who are far from God come to know His saving Grace!  

Please be in prayer with us as we pray God moves this week in our 7 services and that we are able to see 500 people come to know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!  He is so Good!
